“Leicestershire Live Business Awards put our region on the map”

One of Leicester’s most popular venues has played host to a very special networking event ahead of the upcoming LeicestershireLive Business Awards.

College Court Conference Centre is a Grade II listed building that provides a state-of-the-art conference venue and hotel for hundreds of guests each year. On Monday 2nd December they opened their doors to a number of guests for a sponsor’s breakfast, bringing together category sponsors ahead of April’s ceremony.

Here sponsors enjoyed a delicious breakfast before being briefed regarding the awards and the judging process which they will oversee. The occasion also provided guests with the chance to network and get to know other sponsors who will be participating in the awards.

Steve Crawford is Centre Director at College Court and he explained why they made the decision to sponsor the awards.

“The LeicestershireLive Business Awards celebrates businesses from a range of industries,” he said.

“Having the opportunity to support these awards allows us to showcase our facilities whilst also celebrating successes within Leicestershire.”

The awards see businesses of all sizes from a variety of sectors come together for a night of celebration. With 15 categories up for grabs, competition will be fierce, but the night also provides the opportunity for likeminded businesses to network and exchange ideas.

Steve discussed the importance of networking events such as these awards. He said: “These opportunities give businesses such as College Court the ability to network, increase awareness and share best practice with other local companies.”

It will be up to each award’s category sponsor to decide on the shortlisted finalists and eventual winner but as Steve pointed out they will also receive a number of other benefits.

“The LeicestershireLive Business Awards are an opportunity to put our region on the map, whilst making a positive contribution to the local community,” he said.

“It also reaffirms that Leicester and Leicestershire are home to some of the country’s best companies and is testament to their hard work, dedication and passionate employees.”

Nominations for the awards will come to a close on Friday 3rd January so if you know a business that deserves to be nominated for any of the awards visit the dedicated website https://leicestershirelivebusinessawards.co.uk/
