With the LeicestershireLive Business Awards almost upon us, a special networking event is set to take place at one of the city’s most historic venues.
Winstanley House is a boutique hotel and restaurant in Braunstone Park on the outskirts of the city. The venue will be the backdrop on Tuesday 15 September of a special champagne and canapés event that brings together some of the event’s sponsors and finalists from all 15 award categories.
The venue has a rich history dating back to the 1700s but in recent years has become well known as a contemporary British hotel with a number of lavishly decorated rooms and surrounded by stunning parkland.
A former stately home, it also features the Black Iron restaurant, a modern eatery that incorporates a steakhouse and bar which celebrates the best of British. And, as well as championing British food, the restaurant sources many of its ingredients from the Leicestershire region.
Winstanley House explained why they made the decision to come on board with the awards and the fantastic networking opportunities they bring.
“It's an absolute pleasure to host such a prestigious local networking event. These awards celebrate and recognise local businesses which contribute to Leicestershire's economy,”.
“The awards are incredibly important. They offer up a great opportunity to network with others in the Leicester business community and to build and nurture relationships.”
Each category has a sponsor responsible for deciding on the three shortlisted finalists and the eventual winner of each award.
They highlighted the benefits all finalists receive from association with the awards.
“It's a boost to the people in the organisations which win or are finalists. And it's a great opportunity to reflect and celebrate achievement”.
The main event itself will take place on Thursday 8 October at the city’s Maher Centre, bringing together businesses of all sizes for a night of celebration.
